Recording and Monitoring Right to Rent Status for a Tenant

Monitoring and updating tenants right to rent status

The tenants Right to Rent status can be monitored in the Pink Chilli platform. The status will be automatically updated if a tenant is referenced with Blinc or alternatively can be manually set. If the tenants right to rent is time limited, the relevant tenancies will be listed on the Dashboard.

Manually Adding or Updating a Tenants Right to Rent Status

Navigate to the tenancy term details section

  1. Click the Right to Rent Check icon on the relevant Tenant within the Applicants card

  2. Choose the Tenants Right to Rent status

  3. Enter the valid from and to dates if Tenant has a Time Limited right to rent

  4. Optionally add a supporting PDF document

  5. Press the Submit button

If there is already an existing Right to Rent status set against the tenant, the status can be updated by clicking on the Right to Rent Check icon again and clicking Renew Right to Rent.

Monitoring Tenants Right to Rent Status

If a tenant has a Time Limited right to rent which is expiring or expired and is currently on an active tenancy, the Dashboard will display the relevant property in either the Expiring Compliance or Expired Compliance cards.

Any expiring or expired right to rent statuses will also be shown on the relevant Tenant records in the Applicants card when viewing the Tenancy Overview page.
